TRAINING
Training is good for your fitness; it makes you ride faster. But our trainers also consider other aspects important, such as being able to corner well, becoming proficient on your bike, or riding safely in a group. What matters is that you continue to enjoy it. If you get a bit older, training naturally becomes more serious.
Training location
The training starts at the Tom Dumoilin Bike Park.
We kindly request that children who will not be attending training be deregistered one day in advance via email or app. This allows us to inform all trainers of attendance for training. You can deregister via this email address:
There is no training during school holidays and recognized public holidays. You can see when youth training takes place in the calendar.
The youth training program is written by KNWU-certified trainers. They have carefully considered the training offerings for children at every level. This is to teach them the necessary skills, but above all to build fitness. When competing, attendance at every training session is important to maintain this build-up and aim for optimal results.
Training camp
Every year, we organize a 'serious' training camp for the youth.
Fancy cycling with us? Great! We’d love to see you. If you have a helmet, gloves, and a road bike or mountain bike, and you are 7 years old, then you are ready to try road cycling.
In the winter
From the age of 7, it is possible to participate in the cross-country training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Tom Dumoilin Bike Park from September through February/March.
